Representative configuration. Ask our team about models and options.

Choose around the work you produce.

AA Blueprint sells and supports Canon imagePROGRAF, plotWAVE, and colorWAVE equipment. From office CAD drawings to production plan sets, our Akron team can help you compare printing and scanning workflows alongside supplies and service needs.

Start with your largest drawing size, everyday volume, and busiest deadlines. Then consider color requirements, roll capacity, scanning, finishing, and the space available for the equipment. Ask our team about current models and configurations.

What we can help with

  • CAD, architectural, and engineering drawings
  • Construction plans, maps, and technical documents
  • Monochrome and color wide-format printing
  • Multifunction print, copy, and scan workflows
  • Equipment sales and supplies
  • In-house and on-site printer and scanner service

imagePROGRAF TM: office CAD and color posters

The TM family offers 24- and 36-inch five-color pigment-ink printers for technical drawings, posters, and presentation work. It is a useful starting point for teams balancing everyday plan printing with color output.

imagePROGRAF TX and TZ: demanding print workflows

The TX family includes 36- and 44-inch configurations for technical documents and color posters. The 36-inch TZ family is designed for production workflows, with dual rolls and an integrated output stacker. Discuss peak workload, media changes, and output handling when comparing systems.

plotWAVE: monochrome plan production

Canon plotWAVE systems use black toner for technical-document printing. They are an option for teams whose main output is black-and-white drawings and plan sets. An optional integrated color scanner can add scanning and copying; the printer itself produces monochrome output.

colorWAVE: technical color and light graphics

Canon colorWAVE systems produce color and monochrome technical documents with CrystalPoint technology. They also support light graphics applications, with media choices and capacity varying by configuration. An optional scanner adds document capture and copying.

Wide-format scanning: fit the originals, too

Capture marked-up plans, copy paper drawings, or turn originals into files for your project archive. Integrated multifunction systems combine printing and scanning; a separate scanner can be worth discussing when document capture has its own workload.

  • Printer width and scanner width can differ: a 44-inch printer may be paired with a 36-inch scanner.
  • Check the width, thickness, and condition of the originals you need to scan.
  • Discuss color capture, file formats, naming, destination folders, and copying requirements.
  • Compare occasional scanning with the volume and handling needs of an archive project.

Local supplies and service support

Equipment selection is one part of the workflow. AA Blueprint also provides supplies guidance and in-house and on-site printer and scanner service. Share your equipment model and location so we can discuss service arrangements and compatibility.

Start your project

Common questions

Which Canon family should we start with?

Start with the documents you produce. imagePROGRAF offers pigment-ink CAD and color workflows; plotWAVE focuses on monochrome technical production; colorWAVE combines technical color with light graphics. Our team can help narrow the choice using your sizes, volume, and scanning needs.

Does a wide-format printer automatically include a scanner?

No. Scanning depends on the model and configuration. Confirm the scanner option and scan width separately from the printer width.

Can you print or scan our plans while we consider equipment?

AA Blueprint also provides blueprint printing and large-format scanning services. Contact us with the sizes, quantities, and timing for the work you need produced.
