Forming the baseline for a lot of our operations, scanning is the conversion of hardcopy sources into electronic data files. Our scanning operations can handle virtually any source material: small documents, large documents, black and white or color photos, arial photographics and microfilm.
For small documents, up to 11" x 17", scanning can be performed at resolutions up to and including 1200dpi. Large documents, up to 39" wide by any length, can be done at resolutions up to 800dpi.
All work can be performed with up to 36 bits per pixel color capture. Microfilm scans are typically done with 200dpi finished resolution is actually the equivalent of what the original document's resolution would be, were we scanning that original. Our microfilm scanner actually scans upwards of 2000dpi which due to the small image size, yields an apparent resolution of 200dpi.
Datafiles can be delivered in most industry standard graphic formats; typical formats are Tagged Image Format (TIF) and Portable Document Format (PDF). If you need another format, feel free to ask. The files can be delivered on media such as CD-ROM's, floppy disk's, or zip disks. Small, rush orders can also be e-mailed should the need be extremely pressing.
